Genesis 15:5

And he brought him outside and said , Look toward heaven , and number the stars , if you are able to number them. Then he said to him, So shall your offspring be .

He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
