Luke 19:11

As they heard these things , he proceeded to tell a parable , because he was near to Jerusalem , and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately .

While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once.

And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
