Nehemiah 6:9

For they all wanted to frighten us, thinking , Their hands will drop from the work , and it will not be done . But now , O God, strengthen my hands .

They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.” But I prayed, “Now strengthen my hands.”

For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God , strengthen my hands.
