Psalms 112

¹ The Righteous Will Never Be Moved Praise the Lord ! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord , who greatly delights in his commandments !

² His offspring will be mighty in the land ; the generation of the upright will be blessed .

³ Wealth and riches are in his house , and his righteousness endures forever .

⁴ Light dawns in the darkness for the upright ; he is gracious , merciful , and righteous .

⁵ It is well with the man who deals generously and lends ; who conducts his affairs with justice .

⁶ For the righteous will never be moved ; he will be remembered forever .

⁷ He is not afraid of bad news ; his heart is firm , trusting in the Lord .

⁸ His heart is steady ; he will not be afraid , until he looks in triumph on his adversaries .

⁹ He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor ; his righteousness endures forever ; his horn is exalted in honor .

¹⁰ The wicked man sees it and is angry ; he gnashes his teeth and melts away ; the desire of the wicked will perish !

¹ Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands.

³ Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.

⁴ Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.

⁵ Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.

⁶ Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.

⁷ They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

⁸ Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.

⁹ They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.

¹⁰ The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

¹ Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

² His seed shall be mighty upon earth : the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

³ Wealth and riches shall be in his house : and his righteousness endureth for ever.

⁴ Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness : he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

⁵ A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth : he will guide his affairs with discretion.

⁶ Surely he shall not be moved for ever : the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

⁷ He shall not be afraid of evil tidings : his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.

⁸ His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

⁹ He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

¹⁰ The wicked shall see it , and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away : the desire of the wicked shall perish. Psalm 111 Books Psalm 113
